Jugendfotopreis Oberpfalz
The Jugendfotopreis Oberpfalz is an annual photography competition for young people, providing a platform for emerging talents to showcase their creative work. The 2025 competition is themed “BEING YOUNG.” As part of this project, I designed the entire Instagram presence, including feed posts, story templates, and multiple reels to promote the competition. Additionally, I created new backgrounds and infographics for the website and documented the award ceremony on video.
/// Informing decision-making: Research provides data and evidence to support design decisions. It helps designers make informed choices about layout, color schemes, typography, and other design elements, leading to more effective and user-friendly websites
/// Through multiple feedback rounds, I developed and refined Instagram posts, story templates, reels, posters, postcards, website backgrounds, an opener video for the ceremony, and full event documentation through filming and editing.
/// The main challenge was creating a unique visual identity while ensuring the content remained adaptable for the organizing team. Since Canva was the primary tool for future content creation, its template-based limitations restricted design flexibility. The task was to make templates that felt custom while remaining easy to use.
/// I used Figma to design a custom style, including a unique typeface and original graphic elements, which I exported for use in Canva. This allowed the team to maintain individuality within Canva’s framework. Additionally, I created a tutorial on using Figma, empowering the team to expand their design capabilities.
